At the Faculty of Agrotechnology of the Azerbaijan State Agricultural University (ADAU), the trainings on geographical information systems (GIS) for students of the specialty «Earth structure» were completed.
The Rector of ADAU, a corresponding member of ANAS, Professor Ibrahim Jafarov, at a meeting with the students who participated in the trainings, stressed the importance of holding such trainings and thanked the organizers. The coaches also expressed gratitude to Mehman Mehtiyev, specialist of the Goygol District Department, Samir Hasanov, Photogrammetry Specialist of «Geodesy and Cartography» LLC, Zohrab Ismailov, Chief Directorate of Architecture and Town Planning of the Karabakh Region.
Finally, the students who participated in the training were awarded certificates.
It should be noted that, on the basis of the program developed, the instructors, on the basis of a fixed schedule, have brought to the attention of the students geodetic works, modern GIS programs, principles of work of geodetic instruments and equipment, additional experience and knowledge about geodesy on an assigned schedule.
