A quiz competition dedicated to the Day of Restoration of Independence, titled "Our Independence is Eternal, Irrevocable, and Everlasting," was organized by the Student Trade Union Committee of Azerbaijan State Agricultural University (ADAU) on October 18.
The event began with the national anthem, followed by a moment of silence in honor of the memory of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of our lands.
Before the competition, Aida Gasimova, the university's Vice Rector for Educational Affairs, and Elgün Aslanov, the head of the Department of Social Sciences, noted that the main goal of the quiz was to promote the significance of October 18—Day of Restoration of Independence—among youth, as well as to instill a sense of patriotism in the younger generation and increase interest in educational competitions.
Seven teams participated in the inter-faculty quiz, which consisted of two rounds with 15 questions each. The team from the Faculty of Agrarian Economics secured 1st place, the team from the Faculty of Zoom Engineering took 2nd place, and the team from the Faculty of Agro-Technology was awarded 3rd place.
At the end of the event, participants received certificates and prizes.
